Therapeutic Youth Worker job summary
The Bridge School Sedgemoor are looking for a Therapeutic Youth Worker- Grade 11 position. 37 Hours per week, 39 weeks per year- Term time plus inset days.
Hours our work Monday-Thursday 10am- 6pm, Friday 10am-5.30pm (however, this may change according to the needs of the young person at anytime). This is a permanent role and there is a possibility of additional hours during school holiday periods.
Salary approximately £27,409- £30,575 depending on experience.
We are excited to be expanding and developing our team of specialist and highly skilled staff to work with our children and young people at The Bridge School. We are looking for someone who is resilient, nurturing, has a sense of humour and who can engage young people in practical, community based activities.
We are looking for someone who has experience in youth work and/or mentoring teenagers and young adults, who is skilled in engaging them, can build relationships quickly and has the resilience to work in challenging situations.
We are looking for someone who has the flexibility to change their hours to suit an activity or the young person's timetable and ideally who can work up until 6pm.

If you want to make a difference to vulnerable children and young people and care about their outcomes, are able to work flexibly, creatively and can build relationships with children and young people, we would very much like to hear from you.

The Bridge School, Sedgemoor is one of four Pupil Referral Units commissioned by Somerset County Council and Somerset schools. We provide services through a number of centres for students who have a range of social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. All students are referred through their mainstream schools in the Sedgemoor area.
