Beacon Academy is situated in Loughborough, with approximately 395 children on roll including a Moderate Learning Difficulty (MLD) resource unit and a Nursery. We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and passionate Trainee Assistant SENCo to join our highly committed and professional team. The purpose of the role is to assist the SENCo with the day to day operation and delivery of an effective provision for pupils identified as having Special Educational Needs (SEND).The quality of your relationships with the SENCo, Teaching and Learning Assistants and Teachers is of paramount importance.
The successful candidate will be a committed team player with excellent organisational and technical skills. You will have the ability to effectively support learning and teaching, and to develop relationships across our school.
You will have:
* A degree qualification or relevant qualification.
* Experience of teaching SEND pupils.
* Experienced track record of delivering excellent teaching.
* The ability to set clearly articulated targets to track progress and adopt strategies towards achieving them.
* The ability to deliver effective learning and teaching in the classroom.
