Transition Teacher (Year 8 / Resource focus) job summary

We are looking for a compassionate, skilled and proactive Transition Teacher to support Year 8 students, with a particular focus on delivering high‑quality teaching within our Resource Group. This specialist provision supports students with special educational needs and/or disabilities as they continue their secondary school journey, helping them develop confidence, independence and strong foundations for future learning. Within this role you will work collaboratively with our Year 8 SEND Lead, pastoral team and partner primary schools to ensure every student receives a smooth, well‑supported transition.

Laurus Cheadle Hulme (LCH) is a non-selective, non-denominational Free School. It opened in September 2018. We currently have 1082 students on roll.

Our students are housed in a purpose-built building with access to state-of-the-art facilities and overlooking Bruntwood Park, with our Year 11 students progressing to Sixth Forms in the Laurus Trust. We share the same site as Cheadle Hulme Primary School.
