• Working pattern: Part time: 18 hours per week, Monday- Friday 2:45pm -18:15pm plus 1 hour every two weeks for planning and preparation
• Contract type: Permanent
• Full-time equivalent salary: Salary: SLT support grade F £27,254 - £28,911 FTE
• Actual salary: (Actual starting salary £11,086.42 - £11,760.46 based on 18 hours per week including holiday entitlement)

What skills and experience we're looking for

The successful candidate will:

• Have experience of delivering imaginative and innovative activities to children;

• Be expected to ensure the provision offers a safe and stimulating play environment;

• Assist in the administration of the club, keeping relevant records and ensuring that the agreed club procedures are implemented;

• Prepare and serve snacks and meals;

• Supervise mealtimes;

• Ensure the safe collection and transportation of children between their classrooms and the club;

• Ensure that areas are clean and cleared at the end of sessions;

• Communicate and liaise with parents;

• Have a passion and motivation for improving the lives of all children;

• Have an optimistic attitude and be flexible to the demands of the job;

• Demonstrate versatility, tact, commitment and the ability to use initiative;

• Be patient and able to stay calm and listen and value children’s views;

• Be able to work as part of a team and be expected to contribute to its development;

• Have the ability to strictly maintain confidentiality;

• Have experience with some behaviour management techniques.

Desirable qualifications

• Paediatric First Aid trained

• Food Hygiene Level 2

• Child care/play/teaching qualifications
