Trust Data Manager job summary

Reporting to the Director of Data and Analysis Services you will be part of the Data Services Team with responsibility for the operational management of our two Gateshead schools' data and management information system, as well as responsibilities for operational activities within the trust data eco-system.

Management of the school MIS with a particular emphasis on:

  • The development of the MIS to meet the evolving needs of the school including data analysis, attendance, and behaviour systems.
  • The maintenance of the student and staff records within the MIS ensuring compliance with census returns
  • The development of data and analysis systems that streamline working practices and reduce workloads for all staff, in line with trust systems.
  • Provision of relevant training to appropriate staff in support of “self-service" analysis of key data visualisation tools (for example) PowerBi.

Development and maintenance of curriculum management systems:

  • In year maintenance of the school timetable (There is scope to receive extensive timetabling CPD and potential to take on the creation of the school timetable as the role and the needs of the trust and its schools evolves
  • The management of school wide assessment and monitoring systems (e.g Pupil Progress and SISRA)
  • The collection, storage and analysis of whole school data including the accurate analysis of academic and pastoral data on time and in a format that allows for ease of interpretation by all local, trust and external stakeholders.

Development, maintenance, and training on centre led data systems with a particular emphasis on:

  • Development and maintenance of cross trust data dashboards within PowerBI
  • Provision of trust wide Management Information System support & training
  • Development and maintenance of non-academic trust data analytics systems – e.g. HR, Finance, Operations Service Desk analysis.
