Trust Inclusion & Engagement Worker job summary

Cambrian Learning Trust is seeking a compassionate, proactive and highly organised Trust Inclusion & Engagement Worker to support children, and their families at Faringdon Community College, Folly View Primary School & The Elms Primary School.

This rewarding role focuses on removing barriers to learning, improving attendance, supporting wellbeing, and helping families access the right support at the right time. Working closely with school staff, external agencies and families, you will play a vital role in improving outcomes for vulnerable pupils and strengthening home-school partnerships.

About the Role

As a Trust Inclusion & Engagement Worker, you will:

  • Work directly with pupils and families to identify and address challenges affecting attendance, wellbeing and engagement in education.
  • Provide early help interventions and practical support to children and families.
  • Conduct home visits, telephone support and school-based meetings.
  • Support schools with mental health and wellbeing initiatives.
  • Liaise with a range of agencies and professionals to coordinate support.
  • Assist families in navigating services and accessing appropriate help.
  • Deliver parenting support programmes and family learning opportunities.
  • Facilitate group sessions, drop-ins and community engagement activities.
  • Provide one-to-one and group support for pupils, including therapeutic interventions where appropriate.
  • Support vulnerable pupils and families through key educational transitions.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to monitoring and evaluation activities.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working with children, young people and/or families.
  • Understands safeguarding and early help processes.
  • Has excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Can work effectively with families, schools and partner agencies.

Experience in delivering parenting programmes, therapeutic interventions (such as ELSA or Drawing & Talking), or supporting mental health and wellbeing is desirable.

This role will involve working across schools within the Faringdon area.
