St Thomas Catholic Academies Trust is a family of Catholic schools based in Luton, Central Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Slough. We are seeking a highly technically skilled Network and Server Manager to join our IT team. As a senior member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining, designing, and optimizing our network infrastructure and server systems to ensure seamless connectivity, data security, and efficient operations across our schools. Principally based in Buckinghamshire, but working across all Trust locations remotely or on-site as required, the postholder will support the work of the team and will work closely with our Area ICT Managers to deliver a first class service to our pupils and staff.


 


PURPOSE OF POST:


To support the central service management of the St Thomas Catholic Academies Trust ICT team by: 


                    Being responsible for the maintenance of systems, devices and their configuration across all schools


                    Providing technical expertise and advice to all members of the team, our leadership teams and staff


                    Acting as the senior escalation point for hardware and software related issues that cannot be resolved by more junior colleagues


          Leading projects within our schools, ensuring those projects are delivered on time and within budget


          Manage the work of 3rd party contractors such as cabling contractors and suppliers


          Managing the workload and performance of technicians as required


 


In addition, they will maintain a management ethos across all St Thomas Catholic Academies Trust sites which moves forward, solves problems and resolves conflict by applying Christian principles of leadership in the skills of chairmanship, negotiation, arbitration and reconciliation.
