Trust Payroll and Finance Officer
Hours - Part time: 32 hours per week 52 weeks per year
12 Month Fixed Term contract. - potential option to be extended beyond this.
Salary: FTE £38,256 to £46,968 dependent on experience
Role will be based at Coombe Girls' School, KT3 3TU
Coombe Academy Trust is a successful and collaborative multi academy trust consisting of two secondary schools, three primary schools and a central team in the Royal borough of Kingston upon Thames. Providing opportunities for both our pupils and staff is at the heart of what we do.
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced payroll and finance officer to join our central finance team on a 1 year fixed term contract. This role will be responsible for administering payroll
and pensions data for two of our schools as well as assisting with the day to day financial operations of trust schools.
Key responsibilities will include
Dealing with all aspects of monthly payroll and pensions
Assisting school finance officers with the efficient running of the purchase ledger, sales ledger and parent payment systems. In particular
- Processing payment runs for direct debit and credit card payments through the purchase ledger
- Processing receipts for sales ledger and miscellaneous income
- Raising ad hoc sales invoices
- Monitoring and recording grant income
The successful candidate will be highly organised with great attention to detail and the ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure within a complex and busy environment. We require applicants to possess previous payroll experience, ideally in a school environment. Additionally we require strong analytical and problem solving skills.
