Trust Performing Arts Technician job summary
We are seeking a reliable, enthusiastic, and confident Trust Performing Arts Technician to join our team at the Laurus Trust. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in education, whether you're considering a career in teaching or already have experience working with young people. As a Trust Performing Arts Technician, you will be responsible for providing set design and stage construction support for shows, workshops, exams, performances and promotional events across the Trust.

This position is contracted on a 37 hours per week Term Time Only basis. This means you will mainly work when the school is open to pupils and will not need to work during the school holidays unless the contract requires you to do so. In total you will be in work for a minimum of 37 out of 52 weeks.
Job Purpose
- To deliver high quality support and technical production services for drama, music and other performance activities across Laurus Trust schools, including the creating and editing of video content to promote key messages and assist digital learning.
Key Skills & Experience
- Sound educational background including GCSE’s in Maths and English (A*-C) or equivalent and minimum 2 A-levels or equivalent.
- Sound knowledge of stage lighting and sound, video recording and editing, music technology and audio-visual equipment
- At least 1 years’ experience creating and producing video content
