What skills and experience we're looking for

  • For September 2023, we are looking for a Trust SENDCO who is capable of initiating and developing effective strategies which enable our SEND pupils to achieve their very best and who is committed and passionate about their own professional and leadership development. This role offers a fantastic career opportunity for the successful candidate to take a lead in shaping the SEND strategic vision for The Stour Federation.
  • The role is non-class based but the successful candidate will need to be an excellent classroom practitioner, who is committed to providing the highest standards of provision for SEND pupils within the Trust. They will need to demonstrate commitment to personal and professional growth, embrace opportunities for evidence-based development and be passionate about sharing effective practice with colleagues across our schools and beyond the Trust.

  • The post is a vital appointment in terms of enhancing and ensuring the positive life chances for our children through an ethic of excellence. As such, we are keen to recruit a dedicated and ambitious professional who will add value to the Trust in both academic terms and through involvement in the fabric of learning and success beyond the classroom. A passion for support our most vulnerable children and those with barriers to learning is essential, providing expert advice to develop the practice of staff and working closely with the Trust Headteachers, the Trust Improvement Leaders and pastoral staff.
