Trust Subject Leader for English – Unity Schools Partnership
Location: Unity Schools Partnership Trust Office, Haverhill, Suffolk
(Schools are mainly in Suffolk, and also in Cambridge, Essex and Havering)
Salary: £56,721 to £62,570 (pro rata for part time candidates) per annum (L13-L17) (Teachers’ Pension Scheme)

Your Opportunity
We are looking to appoint an inspirational and highly effective Trust subject leader for English to lead on the design of curriculum provision and resources for English across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5. This will include the monitoring, evaluation and review of standards and provision within English departments across each of our eight secondary and two middle schools.
You will play a leading and highly visible role in the improvement of teaching and learning of English and the academic success of all pupils across our eight secondary schools, ensuring the highest standards of teaching, learning and achievement for all our students.
Unity Trust has a strong track record of improvement and we want to ensure that we build on this moving forward. Your new role within this new post will be integral in ensuring that this is achieved.
What we are looking for?
We are looking for someone who has significant experience of leading successful English departments, with a proven track record of positive outcomes for students across the Key Stages.
You will need to have the ability to draw on ideas from research and experience to improve practice within our schools and have an awareness of curriculum changes.
We are seeking a confident and innovative practitioner who can drive our schools forward and ensure parity across our academies.
