Flanderwell is a fabulous school with fantastic staff and children who are aspirational and are keen to learn and engage.
We are a growing, happy school with children at the heart of everything we do. Our motto, ‘every child, every minute, every hope’, reflects the emphasis on ensuring that each child in our care grows, flourishes and is prepared for life in the modern world.
Our school serves a very mixed catchment area which includes the Flanderwell Estate, Sunnyside and Woodlaithes Village. Many of our pupils travel from out of the catchment to attend Flanderwell. The majority of our children go on to attend Wickersley School and Sports College, with whom we have strong links.
We are an Academy within the Diocese of Sheffield Academies Trust and actively engage with the many development opportunities across the trust.
We are very proud of our school and would like to invite you to join us in serving our very special community.
We are keen of course to continue to fill our school with great teachers who believe that EVERY child can achieve and experience success.
BUT, what can we offer you?
Amazing children who enjoy learning and are increasingly eager to achieve.
Experienced, highly knowledgeable, ethical leaders who are dedicated to supporting all colleagues to be the best they can be.
A positive culture where everyone is valued and respected, which celebrates and values diversity.
An experienced pastoral team who support all staff to ensure robust systems are in place leading to a culture of inclusion where behaviour and relationships are a real strength of the school.
A commitment to your professional development, no matter what stage of your career you are at.
The chance to be part of an innovative and forward-thinking Trust.
A supportive team of staff (teachers and support staff) and opportunities to work together to improve practice and outcomes for children. No one ever works alone!
A recognition of the tough job that teachers do and a commitment to supporting your work life balance and your wellbeing.
A belief that confident, happy teachers fulfil their potential enabling all children to belong, thrive and achieve.
