Ultimately, we are looking for someone who is up for a challenge and wants to get stuck in with all aspects of our academy life! This could be a fantastic opportunity for an experienced teacher looking for more responsibilities to support their career development. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

- To lead, manage and develop the staff in Maths to achieve a high quality of teaching, effective use of resources and the highest standards of learning and achievement for all pupils

- Providing leadership and management of the school’s Maths curriculum

- Delivering high-quality teaching and effective use of resources

- Evaluating the effectiveness of the provision in Maths in close collaboration with the leadership team

- Organising and managing teaching and learning in Maths

- The development and monitoring of the curriculum provision

- Supporting the Headteacher in the monitoring of the quality of teaching and children’s achievements

- Working closely with the Trust's Head of Maths

- Shaping Maths provision within Ranikhet and sharing best practice across the cluster of Reading schools, working with cluster Maths Leads.

You will work to improve learning standards and achievement for all pupils in their subject, whilst also carrying out their duties as a Classroom Teacher. You will be an integral part of the school's wider Leadership Team, contributing to the school development plan and to whole school strategic planning. You will offer guidance and support to Maths teaching staff, modelling best practices and showing up-to-date knowledge of current theory and practice.
