You must have experience of working as an Assistant Head / Principal within a primary setting and bepassionate about improving children’s life chances through the provision of the highest quality of education.You must have a strong work ethic,high expectationsof yourself and others, andhave the ability tolead and inspire staff and pupils in realising those expectations.

We are now seeking to expand our senior leadership team and wish to appoint a Vice Principal to support our inspirational Principal. As Vice Principal you will:

  • Strategically lead the direction and development of the academy in accordance with the ethos and vision of the sponsors.

  • Deputise for the Principal, when necessary.

  • Monitor, evaluate and review outcomes in relation to pupil progress.

  • Support the creation and implementation of the academy improvement plan and take sole responsibility for appropriately delegated aspects of it.

  • Support all staff in achieving the priorities and targets which the academy sets for itself, and to provide them with support and guidance in implementing schemes of work.

  • Support the evaluation of the effectiveness of the academy’s policies and developments.

  • Provide professional leadership and management throughout the school.

  • Strategically plan for improvement by contributing to the management and deployment of all financial and physical resources in the academy.

Trinity Multi Academy Trust is a Diocesan multi academy trust that is open to schools of all faiths and none. In 2010, when Trinity Academy Halifax (TAH) opened in Calderdale, the plan was to address a decade of underperformance at secondary school level. Since then the academy has been rated as ‘outstanding’ twice. It has also established Trinity Institute of Education (formerly Trinity Teaching School Alliance) and the West Yorkshire Maths Hub, both of which have helped to raise pupil performance in hundreds of schools across the country.

In 2015 Trinity MAT was established. It now contains eleven academies covering from nursery stage through to post-16, including two brand new secondary schools which opened in September 2021. The MAT has seen numerous educational changes but one thing has remained constant; we know what works, and so we have formed a group of like-minded schools to make a positive difference on a wider scale.
