We currently have 374 pupils on roll, with an above-average number of pupils with SEND and Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). Vice Principal - Behaviour, Inclusion and Vulnerable Learners

Are you a passionate and dedicated leader with a strong commitment to inclusion and improving outcomes for vulnerable learners? Inkersall Spencer Academy is seeking an inspiring Vice Principal to lead on behaviour, inclusion, and support for our most vulnerable pupils.

About the Role

As Vice Principal, you will play a pivotal role in shaping a positive school culture where all pupils feel safe, valued, and supported. You will lead our behaviour and inclusion strategies, championing the needs of vulnerable learners to ensure they receive the tailored support necessary to succeed. Key Responsibilities

Lead and develop the school’s behaviour policy to promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Oversee provision for vulnerable pupils, including those with SEND, EHCPs, LAC, post-LAC, and pupils with social care involvement.

Work closely with staff, parents, and external agencies to provide targeted support and interventions.

Promote high standards of pupil behaviour and attendance across the school.

Support the Senior Leadership Team in driving school improvement and safeguarding.

Foster strong relationships with pupils, families, and the local community to increase engagement and support.

Monitor and evaluate the impact of inclusion and behaviour strategies, reporting to governors and the trust.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with significant experience in primary education.

Proven leadership experience, ideally in behaviour management, inclusion, or vulnerable learner support.

Strong understanding of SEND, EHCP processes, and the needs of vulnerable pupils.

Experience working with multi-agency teams and social care settings.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and motivate others.
