Our Alternative Provision supports learners with a range of needs, including Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges, enabling them to re-engage with education and achieve positive outcomes.
We are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced Vocational Teacher to deliver high-quality, engaging and relevant vocational education to our students.
Purpose of the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering vocational curriculum provision that meets the diverse needs of learners within an Alternative Provision setting. The role requires a strong commitment to inclusive practice, high expectations, and the ability to foster positive relationships that support both academic progress and personal development.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality vocational lessons that are appropriately differentiated to meet individual learner needs
- Provide a safe, structured and supportive learning environment conducive to engagement and achievement
- Assess, record and report on student progress in line with organisational policies
- Implement effective behaviour management strategies in accordance with the provision’s behaviour policy
- Support the social, emotional and mental health needs of students
- Contribute to individual learning plans and multi-agency reviews where appropriate
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents/carers, and external professionals
- Uphold safeguarding responsibilities and promote the welfare of all students
- Contribute to the wider life and ethos of the provision
