What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking for a proactive and reliable Weekend Lettings Officer to join our team at The Portsmouth Academy, working within the Thinking Fitness & Lettings department.
This is a key front-facing role, supporting the smooth running of community bookings and ensuring a high-quality experience for all users of our facilities. You will play an important part in creating a welcoming, safe, and well-organised environment for a wide range of clubs, groups, and local organisations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with customers, handle enquiries, and promote our services via our website and social media.
- Operational Duties: Oversee health and Safety, monitor site entry, and manage daily operations including opening and closing the facility.
- Lettings Management: Manage club and group bookings, ensuring smooth operations and excellent customer service.
This role would suit someone who enjoys working independently, takes pride in maintaining high standards, and is confident taking ownership of a site during their shift. You will need to be hands-on, adaptable, and comfortable managing multiple tasks, from setting up bookings to supporting customers and ensuring compliance with safety procedures.

Core hours are between 9am - 14.30pm on Saturdays although some flexibility will be required.This is a part time weekend role with the opportunity for overtime.
