All Saint’s C of E Primary School are looking for a dedicated and experienced Welfare and Safeguarding Officer to join the staffing team.

The Welfare and Safeguarding Officer will improve school attendance through the effective working with students, families, pastoral support team and other agencies analysing data to guide interventions and evaluating their impact. The post will involve visits to schools, students’ homes and meetings held at different venues.

We are looking for applicants who have:

GCSE or equivalent level, including at least a Grade 4 (previously Grade C) in English and Maths

Experience working in a school environment or other educational setting

Knowledge of the barriers to learning that pupils may face

Strong communication skills to influence and collaborate across all levels of the business, including pupils, staff and parents

The ability to work under pressure and prioritise effectively.

All Saints is a wonderfully diverse and vibrant school, providing high quality education from nursery to Year 6; nearly 40 languages are spoken in our pupils’ homes, and the school is very popular in the local area, with most year-groups full and often over-subscribed. However, due to falling birth rates across Bradford, like many schools, All Saints have reduced its PAN from 90 to 60 from the September 2024 reception intake. They have also extended their nursery provision to include children from the age of 2. The high number of staff (around 27 teaching staff and 100 associate staff) reflects the larger than average size of the school.
