This is a great opportunity for a driven Leader to develop strategies and be a key contributor towards safeguarding practices.
The role:
As a Welfare Leader, you will be our ambassador and promote the academy’s culture and raise aspirations. You will play an active role in the academy’s community work, reaching out to engage all groups and co-ordinating links between academic staff, support staff and the wider community. You will also play an important role by ensuring any barriers to learning are removed through monitoring the attendance and behaviour of pupils.
If you are someone who understands the difference a great education can make to the lives of pupils, their families and communities; have a passion and belief in the potential of every student; and are excited at the prospect of growing as an individual in a supported and education focused setting, we look forward to hearing from you.
Ark value diversity and are committed to safeguarding and promoting child welfare. The successful candidate will be subject to DBS and any other relevant employment checks.
Commitment to safeguarding
Ark is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people in its academies.
Ark requires all employees to undertake an enhanced DBS check. You are required, before appointment, to disclose any unspent conviction, cautions, reprimands or warnings under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975. Non-disclosure may lead to termination of employment. However, disclosure of a criminal background will not necessarily debar you from employment - this will depend upon the nature of the offence(s) and when they occurred.
