What skills and experience we're looking for
The governors at Westways Primary are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Welfare Play Supervisor who is looking to join our fantastic school community. The right candidate will help to ensure the safety, welfare, and good conduct of the children during the school day. Specific duties will include initiating play and supervising the Key Stage 2 children during break and lunch times.
We are looking for someone who:
Develops and maintains high standards to ensure the welfare of the children at all times
Sets up, supervises and supports children with a variety of games and physical activities.
Encourages children to play well together and have fun
Has excellent communication skills
Shows initiative and the ability to use judgement and common sense
Works flexibly within a supportive and committed team
Can form positive and caring relationships with children which motivates them to learn, grow and be confident
Is able to demonstrate a range of strategies used to support emotional regulation
Is a team player who is willing to contribute to the ethos and wider community of the school, including maintaining confidentiality
Has a sense of humour, combined with energy and enthusiasm
