The First Federation Trust, a multi academy trust of 29 primary schools across Devon & Dorset including Westcliff Primary Academy which is a thriving and vibrant primary school, dedicated to providing a great education and nurturing environment for each of its 366 pupils. Located in the seaside resort of Dawlish, Westcliff is easily accessible from the M5 and A38.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible and highly motivated individual to work as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant at Westcliff Primary Academy. You will work alongside the class teacher, to support the teaching and learning of a child with SEN and occasionally supporting other children with SEN, across various age ranges. The successful candidate will be required:
to promote inclusion through the development of social skills, language and emotional wellbeing
To work under the direction of the class teacher and liaise with other professionals both within and outside the school
to show a high degree of initiative and be able to react to given situations with integrity and compassion,
You will need to be able to communicate effectively with children and adults, have a flexible attitude and can-do approach.
This role is to cover mornings and is offered on a fixed term basis for 16.25 hours per week; term time only; 38 weeks per year.
