What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for a highly motivated and committed, Work Experience Co-ordinator & Careers Administrator to work in the College and in return we offer a strong commitment to professional development and progression for all staff. A passion for working with young people to provide them with the opportunities to gain real-life understanding of the workplace together with the ability to liaise with employers and agencies is essential. Working closely with students who need tailored support is an integral part of this role. Excellent administrative and organisational skills are also required.

The College has a strong reputation for its investment in and commitment to careers education and work experience and holds the Quality in Careers Standard.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining and developing the work experience database of placements through liaison with local employers and agencies.
  • Organising the work experience process for the 2 weeks of Year 10 work experience along with extended work placements for a small number of students.
  • Working with and supporting the Careers Leader to organise College careers events.
  • Carrying out administrative tasks to support the Careers Leader.
