• Working pattern: Full time (Can be done as a job share): Mon-Fri 7.15am-8.30am and 3.15 to 5pm or 6pm (Multiple roles available) These roles can be split into Breakfast club (6.25 hours a week) and Afterschool club (16.25 hours a week). Please state if this is your preference on your application.
• Contract type: Fixed term - 1 Academic year
• Pay scale: NJC - C

What skills and experience we're looking for

Qualifications

• GCSE Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics

• Relevant Level 2 qualification in Childcare, Teaching Assistant, Early Years or equivalent experienceor willingness to work towards

Experience

• Experience of working with primary-aged children

• Experience promoting positive behaviour

Knowledge and understanding

• Understanding the statutory requirements of legislation concerning Safeguarding, including

Child Protection, Equal Opportunities, Health & Safety, and Inclusion

• Understanding of health and safety requirements in a school environment

Skills

• Wish to work within a school and be sympathetic to the school’s ethos and aims and meet the expectations of the school’s governing body.

• Establish andmaintaingood professionalrelationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues

• To be able to deal with regular interruptions

• Communicate effectively (both verbally and in

writing) at all levels e.g., pupils, staff, parents, visitors

• Work successfully under the direction of a supervisor

• Contribute toa safe,welcomingand stimulating environment

• Under direction,organise activities and resources
