About the role

Sigglesthorne Church of England Primary Academy are looking to recruit a dedicated Wrap Around Care Lead, this role is for 7.5 hours a week to be worked during the school term time. The hours are as follows, Monday – Friday, 3.30pm – 5.00pm.

This is an opportunity to be part of our small, friendly team who play a key role in our school. The main purpose of the role is to look after and interact with the children during our Out of School Club. You will lead team members to organise and deliver activities that engage and encourage children to play and build friendships. You will manage behaviour and help children to resolve conflict following our behaviour code. The successful candidate would be expected to be first aid trained (or willing to go on a first aid course).

The job requirements

To be successful for this role you will have good knowledge of child development and playwork, a qualification in child care would also be an advantage.

You will have knowledge, understanding and skills in relation to the care and learning of children in an after school club settings, a good understanding of Ofsted standards is also highly desirable.

You will ensure that the club provides high-quality childcare, within a positive, safe and happy environment while adhering to the club’s policies. You will be responsible for the planning and preparation of activities and the completion of all relevant paperwork and administration.
