Vacancy for Wrap-Around Care Manager to lead our BRAND NEW Wrap-Around Care Provision at Downham Feoffees Primary Academy - OPENING FROM EASTER 2026!
Salary: £9,720 - £10,898 (Actual Salary per year) Meridian Trust Grade 7, Points 12-19
This is a permanent, term-time only post
Hours of work: From 15 hours per week
Working pattern: Monday to Friday Breakfast Club from 7.45am to 8.45am and After-School Club from 3.30 to 5.30pm (plus X number of hours planning time)

We are very excited to be opening a new wrap-around care provision at Downham Feoffees Primary Academy ready for the start of the Summer Term. We are looking for a responsible, energetic and proficient leader to assist with the establishment and running of our brand-new provision, ensuring a safe and enjoyable learning environment. As Wrap-Around Care Manager, under the direction of the Headteacher, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the breakfast and after-school provision, ensuring high standards of care, play and learning for our children aged from 4 to 11 years. The development of positive working relationships with the wrap-around care staff you will be overseeing as well as effective communication with parents/carers and wider school staff will be an essential aspect of the role. You will need to possess a secure knowledge of safeguarding and health and safety and first aid training will be a requirement.

The ideal candidate
- Has a good educational background with GCSE or equivalent in English Language
- Will possess CACHE NVQ in Childcare - Level 3 or above (or equivalent)
- Experience of working with children in a play, childcare or out-of-school setting
- Previous experience of leading and managing staff and/or working with outside agencies
- Will possess outstanding communication skills and can effectively manage a team
- The ability to work collaboratively with parents, carers, colleagues and third parties
- A thorough understanding of child protection and safeguarding issues, ideally already holding a designated safeguarding person status
