Brooklands Primary School, part of the Maritime Academy Trust, is looking for a Wraparound Support Worker to join our team. This is a fantastic chance to support children outside of classroom hours—encouraging play, leading activities, and building strong relationships in a supportive and rewarding setting.
About The RoleAs a Wraparound Support Worker, you’ll help create a stimulating and secure space where children can play, relax, and enjoy activities before and after school. Working under the guidance of the Wrap Around Care Supervisor, you'll:
Support and encourage children to join in games, crafts, and group activities
Help plan and deliver fun, age-appropriate sessions
Create a warm and welcoming environment for all children
Supervise children’s arrival and handover to parents and carers
Set up and pack away equipment, games, and resources
Keep the space clean, safe and well organised
Administer first aid if needed and follow all safeguarding procedures
Whether you’re helping with a group art project, refereeing a playground game, or chatting with children about their day—you’ll play a key role in making extended hours something to look forward to.

Enjoys working with children and understands the importance of play and wellbeing
Brings energy, reliability, and a can-do attitude to every session
Communicates well with children, colleagues, and families
Is proactive, flexible, and able to support with both structured activities and free play
Is happy to set up and tidy away, ensuring a safe and engaging space
Understands the importance of safeguarding, inclusion, and supporting children’s individual needs
