Brooklands Primary School, part of the Maritime Academy Trust, is looking for a Wraparound Support Worker to join our team. This is a fantastic chance to support children outside of classroom hours—encouraging play, leading activities, and building strong relationships in a supportive and rewarding setting.

About The Role

As a Wraparound Support Worker, you’ll help create a stimulating and secure space where children can play, relax, and enjoy activities before and after school. Working under the guidance of the Wrap Around Care Supervisor, you'll:

• Support and encourage children to join in games, crafts, and group activities

• Help plan and deliver fun, age-appropriate sessions

• Create a warm and welcoming environment for all children

• Supervise children’s arrival and handover to parents and carers

• Set up and pack away equipment, games, and resources

• Keep the space clean, safe and well organised

• Administer first aid if needed and follow all safeguarding procedures

Whether you’re helping with a group art project, refereeing a playground game, or chatting with children about their day—you’ll play a key role in making extended hours something to look forward to.

• Enjoys working with children and understands the importance of play and wellbeing

• Brings energy, reliability, and a can-do attitude to every session

• Communicates well with children, colleagues, and families

• Is proactive, flexible, and able to support with both structured activities and free play

• Is happy to set up and tidy away, ensuring a safe and engaging space

• Understands the importance of safeguarding, inclusion, and supporting children’s individual needs
