Applications for a Year 1 teacher are now open to join our school and become part of a great school community of staff and pupils. Our fantastic team are motivated, inspirational and enthusiastic. As an ever-growing school we are looking for a creative class teacher who will engage and inspire our children.

The successful applicant will:

- be a strong classroom practitioner
- have an understanding of the EYFS curriculum and how to support transition into Year 1
- provide engaging, creative andexciting learning experiences
- have experience of using a structured, synthetic phonics program
- have high expectations for behaviour, attainment and progress
- be a well-organised team player with good communication skills
- be a willing learner with a commitment to their own professional development
- contribute to the wider life of school.

We are a small village primary school in the beautiful village of Charing, close to Ashford, that is growing rapidly. We currently have over 130 children on roll and 6 classes from years R through to 6. In September 2022, we were all very excited as the school opened our preschool class, Ducklings for 2 to 4 year olds. In October 2021, the school maintained its ‘Good’ Ofsted grading; the report can be found in the key information section of this website.
