An exciting opportunity has arisen at our wonderful setting- Heartwood Church of England VC Primary and Nursery School. We are seeking an ambitious, nurturing and dedicated professional to join our school as a class teacher.

We have a wonderful year 1 base which follows the continuous provision philosophy.

We are looking for the ideal candidate who:

• Has experience of teaching in EYFS or Year One
• Has a sound understanding of how children learn through play and the adult’s role within this
• Is a passionate and inspiring class practitioner who is adaptable to change, and practice is research informed
• Has a strong understanding of early maths and phonics
• Is a strong teacher who uses assessment to inform planning and teaching
• Will champion all children to fulfil their potential
• Has proven success accelerating children’s learning
• Has a warm personality and a good sense of humour
• Is committed to building strong relationships with the whole school community  
• Works well with colleagues, treating all with dignity and respect
• Will embrace the hygge approach to our school community
• Values and works hard to keep and maintain an effective classroom environment
• Will promote the school’s vision and values
