Full-time, starting January 2019

Are you an enthusiastic and skilled teacher, ready to take the next step in your career in one of the most exciting and rewarding teaching environments in Oxford? We are looking for a great teacher to join us in January, to teach one of our two Year 1 classes and to join our team in Key Stage 1, which includes teachers, teaching assistants and specialist reading support.

First degree or equivalent
Qualified teacher status
Enhanced DBS certificate

Essential skills and experience

Sound Knowledge of National Curriculum and current issues in education
Recent and successful experience of planning for and teaching in either KS1 or KS2
The ability to plan for and meet the learning needs of a range of pupil abilities
Knowledge and experience of using positive behaviour management strategies with pupils to promote high self esteem and good behaviour
Experience of using learning targets to support pupils in achieving high standards
The ability to work effectively within a team, including experience of working successfully with Teaching Assistants and other professionals
Exemplary classroom practice, and the capacity to support colleagues in developing their skills
Sound organisational skills and interpersonal skills
Good numeracy and data handling skills, knowledge of systems for managing pupil assessment data
Knowledge of the current issues in learning and teaching, curriculum development and care and welfare of pupils
