Year 2 Class Teacher (Two Days Per Week: Monday & Tuesday)

Are you an enthusiastic go-getter with a passion for teaching and learning, who thrives in a supportive and fun environment?

At Farnborough Grange Nursery and Infant School, we believe in working hard and playing hard. We are a vibrant, forward-thinking school in Hampshire, committed to nurturing every child's potential, irrespective of their ability. Our strong school values — We Respect, We Aspire, We Belong — underpin everything we do.

We’re a really lovely team who genuinely support one another. We believe in striking a good work-life balance, meaning there are no expectations for after-school clubs and we’re flexible when it comes to attending your own children’s assemblies, for example. We love to celebrate successes and each other; from buying cakes on birthdays to enjoying ice lollies in the summer and often heading out together for a well-deserved end-of-week catch-up. We're a great team who want to do the best for the kids but have fun doing it!

What We Offer:

Wonderful children who are just beginning their educational journey, with enquiring minds and a developing love of learning.

A dedicated and friendly team who truly support and help each other.

A stimulating curriculum utilising the CUSP curriculum scheme, White Rose Maths and Little Wandle Letters and Sounds Revised.

Excellent CPD opportunities at both school level and on a wider Multi-Academy Trust level.

A supportive Multi-Academy Trust and Local Committee who are invested in the development of the school and the welfare of the children and staff.

A genuine commitment to work-life balance and staff wellbeing.

Job Requirements:

We are seeking a Qualified Teacher (QTS) and:

A detailed knowledge of the Key Stage 1 curriculum and its effective delivery.

High standards of communication and interpersonal skills.

The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

The ability to work effectively towards deadlines.

The ability to motivate both students and your peers.

Experience in innovating to deliver the curriculum.

If you are interested in this fantastic opportunity to support and guide children through the early stages of their education and want to join a team that values both hard work and a healthy work-life balance, please contact the school to speak to us about the role in more detail.

On behalf of the Trust, local governing committee and staff team, I would like to extend a very warm welcome to Farnborough Grange Nursery / Infant School, where we are committed to giving children the skills, knowledge and confidence they need to succeed in later life.

We are a Church of England affiliated academy based in North Hampshire, part of The Good Shepherd Trust family, for children from 4 to 7 years old.. We also have a nursery which welcomes children from 2 years old.

At the heart of everything that we do are the children. The years they spend with us are an extremely precious time of enormous growth and change. We seek to make every opportunity a learning experience and harness the value out of every moment of every day. You will see from much of the content of this website, how central the children are and what fantastic ambassadors they are for the younger generation. As a school community, we are proud to provide a happy, positive environment where the children have the aspiration and self-belief to achieve their goals, whatever they may be.

Although learning is our core purpose, so is friendship, challenge, exploration and collaboration. It is our role to ensure that every child who passes through our school, has the nursery and infant school experience that they richly deserve.

We know that every child has the capacity for success and we have tailored our enquiry-based curriculum to enable our children to learn about the world around them, trying a wide variety of experiences and discovering and succeeding in their own talents and passions.

This website aims to give you a taste of the school, as well as providing regularly updated information for both pupils and parents. You can view our virtual school tour here.

We hope that you enjoy your visit to our website and that you get a taste of our whole-school ethos. If you would like to see the school in session, or if you have any queries, please contact the school office.

Thank you for visiting!
