Purpose:

You will play a key role in helping every child succeed through high-quality teaching and a shared commitment to achievement. Duties (further details in the attached application pack):

  • Support the vision and aims of Charlton Wood Primary Academy and the wider Trust.
  • Deliver high-quality, differentiated teaching that ensures strong progress for all pupils.
  • Plan, monitor and evaluate effective programmes of work, including homework and assessments.
  • Make reasonable adjustments for SEND pupils and work with SENCO, parents and external agencies to provide targeted support.
  • Build positive relationships with parents, meeting regularly to review progress and set clear targets.
  • Implement changes and initiatives as directed by the senior leadership team.
  • Maintain a safe, organised and stimulating learning environment.
  • Promote pupils’ spiritual, moral, social, emotional and cultural development while upholding high expectations for behaviour.
  • Take responsibility for your own professional development, engaging with CPD, appraisal processes and evidence-informed practice.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through curriculum enrichment, extra-curricular clubs, collective worship and safeguarding responsibilities.

Fluency Duty
