What skills and experience we're looking for
Dear future teacher,
We want you! Are you dynamic, enthusiastic and caring? If the answer is yes, we want you to be our teacher.
We are proud to have been judged by our latest Ofsted as a Good school however our teachers continuously strive to make our wonderful school even better than it is already…can you help?
You must be passionate about delivering creative, engaging and fun lessons, which immerse us in our education. We are always well-behaved and love coming to school so we would like a teacher who shares our eagerness and wants to make our learning exciting. We all want to achieve our very best and our school has developed an innovative curriculum, led by Mrs Saunders, who encourages teachers to take risks with their teaching and challenge us!
We think our little school is unique and this is because our culture is underpinned by our key Christian values of Friendship, Respect, Perseverance and Happiness. These principles also help our senior staff to consider our teachers’ workload as we all know how important their well-being is. We consider ourselves to be one big happy family and, whilst we promise to work hard for you, we also know there will be lots of laughter and cake…so why not come and say hello!
We look forward to meeting you very soon!
Love, Year 3

St Michael's CE Junior School is a Victorian town school in the Fant area, within walking distance of the town. It was built approximately 150 years ago in an area of mainly Victorian and Edwardian houses and most pupils live locally.
We have approximately 45 children in each year group. The school site is larger than it first appears and our buildings provide a wide range of facilities.
The school is a Church of England Controlled School and maintains close links with the church. It is federated with the infant school across the road.
St Michael's has a warm and friendly atmosphere, which is frequently commented upon by visitors. Our Christian values of Friendship, Respect, Happiness and Perseverance provide a strong and caring environment enabling our children and staff to flourish.
