Little Mead Primary Academy is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and talented teacher 0.5FTE Wednesday to Friday to join us from January 2026. Key Responsibilities of the Role:
- Support the vision and values of the school and Trust, implementing initiatives from senior leadership.
- Deliver high-quality, inclusive teaching that meets the Teachers’ Standards and ensures strong pupil progress.
- Plan, assess, and report on pupil attainment, adapting teaching for SEND and able pupils in collaboration with SENCO and external agencies.
- Build positive relationships with parents, sharing pupil targets and progress regularly.
- Maintain a safe, engaging learning environment and contribute to subject leadership across the school.
- Engage in ongoing professional development, attend training and appraisal meetings, and stay informed of educational developments.
- Contribute to the wider school community through supervision duties, extracurricular activities, and school events.
- Uphold safeguarding policies, report concerns appropriately, and work effectively with support staff.
- Model professionalism in conduct, presentation, and collaboration, adhering to health, safety, and inclusion policies.

- Demonstrates a sound understanding of strategies for teaching pupils with special educational needs.

- Works collaboratively as part of a close-knit team, alongside a supportive year group colleague and an outstanding partner teacher.
- Inspires and motivates pupils, while actively promoting the school’s vision and values.
- Is committed to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
- Builds positive relationships with parents, colleagues, and the wider community.
- Will nurture and maintain the high standards of one of our most capable and kind-hearted classes.

Fluency Duty
