Hollywell Primary School is seeking to appoint an exceptional Upper Key Stage 2 practitioner to join our team as a Year 6 Class Teacher with responsibility for leading English. This is a key role within our school and is suited to an experienced teacher with a strong track record in UKS2 and a genuine passion for English.
The Role
You will:
• Lead a Year 6 class, securing strong academic outcomes through high-quality, ambitious teaching.
• Drive standards in English across the school (reading, writing and spelling).
• Support curriculum development and staff confidence in English.
• Work alongside senior leaders to sustain and improve whole-school outcomes.• Contribute fully to our collaborative, team-based culture.
Essential:
• Proven experience teaching in Upper Key Stage 2.
• Knowledge of Key Stage 2 assessments.
Desirable:
• Experience of leading a core subject.
• Knowledge of, or interest in, Voice 21 and high-quality oracy practice.
