We have an exciting new position for a Year 7 and 8 Intervention Teacher to join Frome College. The right candidate will teach and inspire some of the most vulnerable year 7 and 8 students to achieve their full potential. Managing a small team, you will plan and coordinate the delivery of provision to help students develop through class work and 1:1 support. Experience in managing challenging behaviours within these year groups is desirable.

The successful candidate will:

  • be an outstanding Teacher with experience teaching Key Stage 3
  • support students’ re-integration to mainstream education, ensuring excellent lines of communication to students, parents and relevant staff.
  • organise and coordinate meaningful activities to enable students to access the curriculum, either one to one or in small groups. This may include ‘on site’ activities of ‘off site’ visits and trips or work experience
  • have a passion for helping students succeed.
  • teach inspirational lessons consistently.
  • be innovative, creative, enthusiastic – able to deliver results.
  • work effectively as part of a team, with strong organisational and communication skills.
  • have a great sense of humour and a positive ‘can do’ attitude.
