Year Leader job summary

Thank you for your interest in the role of Year Leader at The Milton Keynes Academy. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and dynamic individual to join our dedicated Pastoral team. If you are someone who is resilient and passionate about the emotional health and well-being of all children, ensuring they achieve the best that they can regardless of their starting points, or any potential barriers, this is the job for you!

Playing a vital role in our Pastoral care, the role of the Year Leader is centrally about supporting a specified Year group with high quality pastoral support, ensuring good behaviour, high attendance and punctuality and supporting the wellbeing of students. You will work under the direction of the Year Progress Leader and will work closely with the Head and Deputy Head of Year for the year group to which you are assigned to.

We are based in central Milton Keynes, an area that continues to grow and thrive at a rapid rate. The Milton Keynes Academy joined Creative Education Trust in September 2018. This has enabled the school to continue its rigorous pursuit of rapid improvement for the children it teaches.
