0.4 Class Teacher job summary
We are looking for a 2 day per week teacher to join our existing team for September 2026. This role has become available due to a change in the working patterns of a member of staff.
The role may be PPA cover or could be a job share. This depends on who we appoint, their strengths and preferences. Regardless of the role, there will be release time for PPA of 1 hour 10 minutes out of the working days. We are flexible about the working days and this can be discussed at interview.
This is a post that could be suitable for a teacher at any stage in their career. We currently have a class structure of some single age classes and some mixed age classes and it is anticipated that we will have a similar structure in September 2026.
We have good levels of TA support, again from a team of experienced TAs. Our school dates back to 1877 with three classrooms in the original school and three classrooms in newer buildings. The grounds are extensive and children benefit from a huge amount of space to play.
Children play across year groups with their friends. We have a house system which encourages team work. We use a therapeutic approach to behaviour management.
Ultimately this is a school where every member of staff and every child is known and cared about as an individual. To find out more, please come and visit our lovely school and see what makes it a really special place to be.
Recent parent feedback stated:

Recently my child asked me what I think her favourite place is. She said it’s school. She really enjoys being here.
