What skills and experience we're looking for
Teaching & Learning
-
Teach Mathematics at KS3–KS5.

Use varied teaching methods to engage students.

Assess, record, and report student progress.

Prepare subject materials and schemes of work.

Maintain discipline and encourage high standards.

Monitor teaching quality and provide feedback.
-
Deputise for the Subject Leader when necessary.

Develop links with feeder primary schools.
Curriculum & Development
-
Assist in curriculum planning and organisation.

Contribute to faculty development and strategy.

Lead extracurricular activities.
-
Monitor provision for SEN, EAL, G&T, Literacy, etc.

Ensure a safe teaching environment and conduct risk assessments.
Monitoring & Evaluation
-
Use data to track student progress and set targets.

Ensure students understand their progress and improvement areas.
-
Communicate progress effectively to students and parents.
Pastoral Responsibilities
-
Act as a form tutor.
-
Register students and attend assemblies.
-
Support student well-being and report concerns.
-
Engage with parents and external agencies.
General Responsibilities

Participate in CPD and performance management.
-
Maintain good communication with staff, students, and parents.
-
Attend school events and meetings.
-
Comply with safeguarding, health & safety, and data protection policies.
Person Specification
-
Support the Catholic ethos of the school.

Strong communication and ICT skills.

Leadership and management abilities.

Minimum two years’ teaching experience.

Degree and relevant teaching qualifications.

Excellent punctuality and attendance.
-
Willingness to undertake First Aid training.
