1:1 Inclusion Support Assistant job summary
We are seeking to appoint an Inclusion Support Assistant to work with a young person in either Year 2 / 3 or Year 5. A Level 3 TA qualification is desirable, and experience of supporting SEND pupils is essential for this post. There is some flexibility with working hours for the right candidate, although we are initially looking for 9.00-3.00 Monday to Friday, 27.5 hours per week (unpaid 30-minute lunch break).
We require someone who:
Has experience of working with children who require additional support for learning.
Has the relevant skills and strategies to ensure support can be implemented to meet the requirements in an EHCP, including working with parents and carers and the SENCO.
Have good behaviour management strategies.
Is flexible and well organised.
Has good interpersonal skills and is able to communicate well.
This position is temporary until 31st July 2027 or until the child leaves the school / dependent on additional funding received to support individual pupil's needs.
