1:1 Learning Support Assistant job summary
Lonsdale School are seeking to appoint a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to support a pupil with Rett syndrome. You will be working as part of a team to provide an enriched learning journey for students in an environment where pupils need regular moving and handling.
This role is for 30 hours per week (Monday to Friday from 8.50am to 3.35pm), term time only. In addition to receiving a full induction and training you will also be given the opportunity for career development and the opportunity to work alongside other Learning Support Assistants and professionals. A flexible, committed, good-humoured approach is required and it is essential you are fit for working in an environment where pupils need regular moving and handling.

Lonsdale School is a special school for young people, aged 3 to 18 with physical and neurological impairments (PNI), as a primary need. We provide support for our pupils who often have other SEN needs including speech and language communication, hearing or visual impairment, autistic spectrum disorder, learning difficulties and social emotional mental health needs. All our learners have an EHCP.
