1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant job summary

We are looking for a caring and patient Teaching Assistant to support the teaching and learning of a child (or a group of children) with Special Educational Needs (e.g: autism) in Early Years, Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2. This is a wonderful opportunity for a talented individual to work with a child one to one and make a real difference. If you want to enjoy your job, are passionate and dedicated to teaching and learning and want to work with children, then we would love to hear from you.

Candidates will need to:

  • Have some experience or knowledge of working with children or individuals with Special Educational Needs
  • Be able to communicate well with pupils, colleagues and parents
  • Contribute ideas to help the child succeed and make progress
  • Have patience and calmness and be proactive in dealing with challenges
