1:1 Teaching Assistant
Pickwick Academy Trust would like to recruit a temporary, part-time 1:1 Teaching Assistant, based at Aloeric Primary School.
Hours:
15 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9.00am until 12.00noon plus, working 38 weeks per year (term time, excluding TD days)
Salary range:
D4-D6, £25,183-£25,989 pro rata, per annum (actual salary £8556 -£8830 per annum).
Start date: as soon as possible
End Date: The appointment will be fixed-term due to funding for a named child and the contract will end when he/she leaves Aloeric Primary School or no longer needs support.

We are looking to appoint a new member to join our dedicated staff team as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant at Aloeric Primary School.
As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant you must be committed and flexible, be able to support groups and individual children with their learning. The role requires you to support the learning of specific pupils with additional educational needs either within the classrooms or 1:1, or in small groups. Being able to work as part of a team is essential as well as being able to use your own initiative. The successful candidates will need excellent communication and liaison skills and will be closely supported by teachers.
Duties will include:
Supporting pupils learning, either in groups in the classroom or through 1:1 work with specific children with additional needs. The exact tasks will depend on the learning support needs of the pupil/s
Supporting pupils self-esteem, inclusion and behavioural development
Provide physical/personal care to pupils where required
Supporting the teacher/s
Supporting the curriculum - Support the delivery of the English and Mathematics curriculum along with other aspects of both the National Curriculum and the enhanced curriculum offered by the school.
Support the school e.g. assisting with setting up, storing and retrieving and general maintenance of classroom equipment and teaching aids.
As well as classroom support, you will be required to work with children with specific needs.
