1:1 Teaching Assistant

(Fixed Term Contract starting ASAP)

Salary: £18530 p.a.- Term Time Only

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, flexible, skilled and motivated 1:1 Teaching Assistant, on a fixed term contract initially to July 2026. The successful candidate will be friendly, hardworking and have a good sense of humour. Applicants should be able to use their own initiative, be innovative and work well as part of a team.

The successful candidate will provide support for a 1:1 pupil to ensure they are supported in school so that they can play a full and active role and achieve their potential. Applicants should preferably hold a relevant childcare qualification, although training may be given.

If you are patient, resilient, and organised, with a passion for helping children succeed, you would be our ideal candidate.

Applicants should:

- Be committed to continuing to raise the achievement and attainment of our children

- Have excellent literacy and numeracy skills

- Be enthusiastic, resourceful, caring and understanding

- Preferably have some previous experience of working with children with special needs (although this is not a necessity)

- Be able to work:

o on a 1:1 basis with a child who has an Education Health & Care Plan and/or

o as a general class Teaching Assistant

- Be willing to undertake any necessary training including first aid

- Be able to work in a team sharing good practices and developing resources and materials

- Be willing to supervise children at breaks and lunchtimes in clubs or on the playground and school field

Hours of work:
