Hethersett VC Primary is a friendly school situated in a popular, growing village on the Southern outskirts of Norwich. There are currently 269 pupils, and the staff and governors work together forming a strong team to best meet the needs of the children.

Due to the large-scale new development in Hethersett, the school re-organised from junior to primary in September 2019 and we were very pleased to welcome Reception age pupils at that time. The school’s popularity has seen its pupil numbers grow and we continue to build following our transition to primary.

As an established, characterful school, we are rich in facilities, which include our own indoor heated swimming pool, a fully grown forest school with a pond, a purpose-built art room with a kiln, and fabulous outdoor areas.

The governors are looking for an enthusiastic and caring Teaching Assistant with a ‘can-do’ attitude to join our KS1 team who, under the direction of the class teacher, will support a pupil on a 1:1 basis.

The post is advertised as temporary for one year initially but could become permanent for the right candidate.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have belief in all children
  • Have high expectations for all children to reach their full potential
  • Be able to use their own initiative
  • Display enthusiasm, commitment and passion for the role
  • Be able to work as part of a team
  • Be able to form positive and supportive relationships with children and parents

The school will offer you:

  • Well behaved children with enthusiasm to learn
  • A friendly and supportive staff team
  • A positive school ethos promoting Christian values
  • Full training in classroom schemes of work
  • Opportunities for further professional development where appropriate

Visits to the school are welcomed. For further information or to arrange a visit, please email finance@hethersettprimary.co.uk
