Ryhall CE Academy is a friendly, welcoming school with a strong Christian ethos, where we aim to “Live life in all its fullness, Make Memories and Build Futures.” We are proud of our inclusive culture and our commitment to ensuring every child flourishes both academically and personally. We are committed to developing the whole child—emotionally, intellectually, physically, academically, and spiritually. We have a family-feel school, with talented staff, and an emphasis on developing each child’s skills, talents, and confidence. Our highly professional staff team works hard to create lifelong experiences and memories, so that when children leave us, they are well-prepared for secondary school and carry fond memories of their primary years.

Ryhall CE Academy is seeking to appoint a caring, adaptable and skilled Teaching Assistant Level 2 to join our inclusive and nurturing team. The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting pupils who benefit from a highly individualised approach to learning, social development and emotional regulation. You will work closely with class teachers, the SENDCo and external professionals to ensure that every child can engage positively and make meaningful progress. This is a dual role where you will work both in the classroom supporting pupils in small groups, and also 1:1 specific work with individual children.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience of supporting children with social, emotional or communication differences.
  • Uses a calm, flexible and reflective approach to promote engagement and wellbeing.
  • Values therapeutic and relationship-based practice in supporting children’s development.
  • Works effectively as part of a team and is open to professional learning and reflection.
  • Demonstrates patience, empathy and consistency in their interactions with children.

This is a fixed-term role, linked to funding for specific additional support. The post is for a maximum of 25 hours per week, although there may be a need for flexibility in how these hours are arranged or delivered initially and over time, to meet need accordingly. We are also open to exploring part-time or job-share arrangements, depending on experience and availability.

Ryhall CE Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references prior to appointment.

We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all suitably qualified candidates regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, disability, or any other protected characteristic.

For further information or an informal discussion about the role, please contact Alan Reed via the school office at office@ryhall.pdet.org.uk or on 01780 762447.
