1:1 Teaching Assistant (SEND) job summary

1:1 Teaching Assistant (SEND) Fixed term until 31 August 2026 in the first instance (funding dependant)

We are looking for an inspirational 1:1 teaching assistant to start as soon as possible. The candidate will work closely with pupils with Educational Health and Care Plans (EHPCs), either 1:1 or in small groups.

The successful candidate will be a creative and highly skilled in supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs. They will be the advocate and champion for the children they work with and have high aspirations for their progress and future. They will need to build excellent working relationships with pupils to ensure the children’s academic, personal, social and emotional learning needs are being met. They will be quick thinking and able to make learning fun. They will be able to create an inclusive and stimulating environment to inspire learning and be a role model for our children and families. We are looking for a caring and warm individual that values every child, yet understands the rigour and challenge required in the modern classroom.
