1:1 Teaching Assistant job summary
For this post, you must be a cheerful, caring and patient Teaching Assistant, who has experience of working with SEND pupils. The perfect candidate will be self-motivated, capable of working collaboratively and independently when required and able to maintain a professional attitude in a busy school environment. You will need to be flexible and be willing to undertake a variety of activities with the pupil.
The hours will be 08:45 - 12.00 Monday to Friday 16.25 hours per week. Term time only, plus 5 INSET days per year. This is initially a fixed term contract linked to a child's Education, Health, Care plan.
You will be based within a mainstream Lower School Reception class and Year 1 class, supporting a child with social and communication, speech and language and cognitive difficulties. Therefore, previous experience working with pupils with similar difficulties would be desirable. The ability to build positive relationships with the pupil, their family and other professionals is essential.
Start date will be as soon as possible.
