1:1 Teaching Assistant
30 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8.45am - 3.15pm (possible overtime available between 7.30am - 8.45am and 3.15pm and 6pm)

We are a small, friendly Church of England primary school with a strong sense of community and mixed-age classes. Our children are at the heart of everything we do, and we pride ourselves on providing a nurturing, inclusive and engaging learning environment where every child is known, valued and supported.
We are seeking a dedicated and caring 1:1 Teaching Assistant to provide targeted support for a child to enable them to access learning, develop independence and make positive progress both academically and socially.
The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher, SENDCO and wider leadership team to support learning, emotional regulation and engagement in school life.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 support for a child, including within the classroom and during unstructured times.
Support the pupil's learning, behaviour and emotional regulation.
Implement strategies and interventions as guided by the class teacher, SENDCO and leadership team
Promote independence, confidence and positive relationships
Support the pupil's inclusion within whole-class and group activities
Maintain accurate records and contribute to reviews and meetings as required
Work collaboratively with staff and communicate effectively with parents/carers where appropriate
We are looking for someone who:
Has an understanding of SEND, including communication or regulation needs
Is patient, nurturing and resilient
Can build positive, trusting relationships with children
Is able to follow guidance while showing initiative and flexibility
Demonstrates a commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
