  • Teaching assistant
• Visa sponsorship: Visas cannot be sponsored
• Key stage: Key stage 1
• Working pattern: Part time: 33.5 hours per week
• Contract type: Fixed term - Specific purpose to work alongside a YR1 pupil. Contract will end when the child leaves the school or no longer needs support
• Full-time equivalent salary: £21,189 - £21,575
• Actual salary: £16,703 - £17,008
• Pay scale: BG5, spinal points 4-5

What skills and experience we're looking for

• To be able to build relationships with the children and colleagues within the school and community
• To work with a range of outside agencies

• To follow direction from the class teacher
• To be proactive in adapting resources and activities
• To complete relevant training where needed
• To be able to work as part of a team, with excellent communication skills, a sense of humour and the ability to share ideas and learn from each other
• To have high expectations for children’s learning, behaviour and personal development
• To carry out some administrative tasks such as photocopying and laminating.
