Salary Grade A (Point 2) £25,484 pro-rata

12.5 hours per week

Actual Salary - £7661.24 PA

3 pm - 5.30 pm - Monday - Friday

Term time + Inset days + 30 hours to be worked in school closure periods

A permanent position at Canford Heath Infant School is available for an immediate start, alongside a temporary maternity cover role at Canford Heath Junior School beginning in June.

The TEACH Poole Multi Academy Trust was formed in April 2015. All four of our wonderful schools are graded as good or outstanding schools by Ofsted. We are extremely popular, over-subscribed, forward-thinking schools with supportive staff and fantastic children.

We are looking to appoint two Lead Cleaners to join our Trust to carry out the cleaning of the interior of all our Trust schools, and supervise a dedicated team, under the direction of the Headteacher.

Responsibilities:

Lead and supervise the cleaning team to ensure all areas of the school are cleaned to a high standard.

Perform regular cleaning duties including dusting, sweeping, mopping, hoovering, polishing floors and sanitising surfaces.

Empty bins and dispose of waste appropriately

Restock cleaning and hygiene supplies

Coordinate and participate in deep cleaning tasks during school holidays, ensuring thorough cleaning of classrooms, hallways, toilets, and other facilities.

Ensure cleaning supplies and equipment are used effectively and are well-maintained.

Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment.

Report any maintenance or repair needs to the Headteacher

Requirements:

Proven experience in a cleaning role, preferably in a school or similar environment.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a team.

Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Good communication skills.

Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks, including lifting and moving equipment.

Flexibility to work additional hours during school holidays for deep cleaning.
